(1824 - 1884) Editor of the first daily newspaper in Elmira, New York, Post Master and Education advocate, to his nephew Charles F. This was commissioned by Mr.

Fairman in the late 1870s from the Whiting of New York. Making the design and decoration unique.

Features satin chased engraved streaming ivy medallion and raised ivy panel spout. Period engraved and dated presentations. This c1880 Whiting presentation teapot is 9 inches handle to spout. And set weighs 37 standard ounces. Teapot interior clean as if little used. Retains original hand carved detail.
