Vintage Silver-Plated Art Deco Tea Set Bauhaus Cubist WMF Josef Hoffmann Style

  
This set is in a class by itself. Equal parts secessionist/ Vienna, Wiener Werkstatte ca. 1900 (Josef Hoffmann) and German Bauhaus Futurist. It definitely seems to be from the 1920's-1930's - though we've never seen another like it. There are some similarities to Italian design as well - Gio Ponti, et al.

Suffice to say, it's unique. Comprised of teapot, coffee pot, cream and sugar - all constructed of silverplate and with hard edges and handles of extreme angularity. Condition: wear commensurate with age and use. We estimate the set somewhere in the vicinity of 1933 - so 90 years vintage.

There's a a bend atop one of the lids so it doesn't close perfectly flush. Will take more pics in the coming days. Please look at our other items. We have many Art Deco pieces for sale this month.
