Japanese Jungin, or pure silver is considered one of the finest silvers in the world. The Hallmark shown on these three pieces is often found on Japanese silver and is called jungin, meaning pure silver.
In fact Japanese silver features the highest purity in the world, often close to 1000/1000 standard. Working a metal so pure (and consequently soft) requires exceptional skills and workshops were often run by former samurai. Coffee services, jugs, bowls, boxes and a variety of other commercial items are chased and embossed in high-relief, often double-skinned, depicting dragons, irises, chrysanthemums and other typically Asian themes so popular amongst Westerners. These type of goods were retailed and commissioned by important luxury shops such as Arthur & Bond and Samurai Shokai, to name only the most famous companies active in Yokohama during the late 19th / early 20th century. Total weight of the set is 58.1 ounces, or 1,650 grams of Sterling silver.
All three pieces are in very good condition. There are a few small dents and dings here and there, and it will take some elbow grease or a powered buffer to really get all the shine out of these, but its definitely in there. Note that the finial or top piece on the tea pot appears to be missing, broken or cut off over the years. The silver value of these is quite high without even looking at the beauty of these antique pieces.
