Presented is a wonderful quality American colonial revival 4 piece sterling silver coffee and tea set of good weight made by Tuttle Silversmiths. Tuttle pieces were marked with the initials of the current president of the US; this set is marked HT and was made between 1953-57, during Harry Truman's second term as president.
The body of each piece is slightly bowed out in the middle and the lids of the sugar bowl and pots have a great pineapple finial, the symbol of hospitality. The pieces have all been professionally polished to a high finish. This set includes: 1 Coffeepot: 8 1/8 inches from handle to tip of spout and 9 1/8 inches tall.1 Teapot: 8 inches from handle to tip of spout and 7 1/8 inches tall. 1 Creamer: 4 3/4 inches from handle to tip of spout and 4 1/2 inches tall. 1 Covered Sugar Bowl: 6 1/8 inches from handle to handle and 4 5/8 inches tall.
This set is in superb condition. All of the pieces are also very clean on the interior. It looks like they have never been used. Everything is pristine and ready to be used and enjoyed. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs. Please note that the black or white spots you may see in some of the photographs are reflections from our camera, and not tarnish or damage.
