This identical Islamic pattern displayed in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The sterling and parcel gilt tea urn. Crafted in tapering baluster form with gold wash scallop rim and all over. Satin or Butler's finish. The dome cover, spout and handle highlighted with elaborately cast. Parcel gilt lattice work in the Moorish taste.The work includes dragon tails, beaded trim, scrolling vine and twin. The urn would have been secured to base. That base is now gone. This c1870 Tiffany Islamic or Moorish sterling silver tea urn is 11 1/2 inches.
And weighs a bit under 64 standard ounces. In very fine condition, interior clean as if never used.
