Superb antique 3 piece sterling silver tea set. Comprising teapot, sugar bowl and milk jug. Boat shaped panel form with diamond detail to borders and angular handles. Each piece with full silver hallmarks. Made by Barker Brothers, makers of high quality English silverware.
Teapot length (handle to spout) 27 cm, height 13.5 cm, weight 589 g, capacity 1100 ml. Sugar Bowl length (handle to handle) 19 cm, weight 238 g. Milk jug length (handle to spout) 13 cm, weight 161 g.
Corn sheathes and sword: Chester. Silversmith: Barker Bros (Herbert Edward & Frank Ernest). Each piece hallmarked to main body.
Teapot also hallmarked to underside of lid and inside of handle. Superb condition with just very light surface marks. No repairs, no leaks, no engravings, no erasures. Teapot hinge good, lids fit well, pours well.
