Offering a set of 6 sterling silver and porcelain 3-piece chocolate sets made circa 1925. Each set is three pieces: a sterling silver cup holder, sterling saucer and china cup. Great for use with tea, chocolate or espresso. The 12 sterling pieces, cup holders and saucers, have a combined weight of 216 grams. Assembled, each set measures 2 1/4" high and 3 1/4" across the saucers.
The cup holders are engraved with a band of chevron shields and rectangular windows decorated with filigree, flowers and scrolls. The saucers are raised in the center and banded around the rims. The china cups are ivory with double gold bands around the top rims, inside and out. Finished with a bright clear glaze.
The silver pieces are marked SSMC Sterling for The Sterling Silver Manufacturing Company of Providence, Rhode Island. This mark was used between 1908 and 1935. The cup holders are also marked X24. The cups have the green wreath and Lenox mark used between 1906 and the present.
