Rogers Brothers International Silver Antique Silver Plate Ancestral three-piece tea set in a "Butler Gray Finish, " circa 1924, was acquired from a well-maintained, extensive estate inventory. This pattern is in limited circulation. All pieces are in very good antique condition with very light silver plate loss, no dents, and light scratching (as is expected in pieces of this era) with a noted scratch on the front of the sugar bowl. The interior bowls have minimal staining with some silver plate discoloration. The back sides of all pieces are monogrammed, if one was pouring right-handed, with a probably K. " The mark of "1847 Rogers Brothers was the property of the Meriden Silver Company when Meriden and Rogers Brothers silversmiths companies were absorbed by the International Silver Co. Ancestral 1847 is the Art Deco pattern by International Silver Co. Inspired from both a Wilcox design and from the intricate detailing from a Meriden design. The teapot 008606 measures 9" high x 9 1/2" wide. The cream pitcher 008609 measures 3 3/4" high x 5 5/8" wide. The sugar bowl with lid 008808 measures 5 1/2" high x 5 1/2" wide.
