REED & BARTON STERLING SILVER TEA SET c1945 HAND DECORATED. This is a fine, hand decorated Reed & Barton sterling silver four piece tea service. Made around the middle of the century. In raised oval cauldron form with unique scrolling leaf and bead throughout. The front with beautifully hand decorated leaf and floral displays.

Carved in exceptionally high relief from surface. The floral work quite distinctive and a design we have not previously observed.

Bell dome cover retains the original Hershey kiss finial. Fathered acanthus above and below spout. Rolled leaf crown C scroll handle with feathered leaf terminal. The set has never been monogrammed. This vintage Reed & Barton hand decorated teapot is 10 inches handle to spout.

And the complete four piece set weighs 59 standard ounces. Rich sterling patina, retains original detail. Cover closes tight and stands firm on table. Handle secure, retains the original heat stops.
