Reed &Barton Denmark Silverplate Coffee Tea Set Designer John Prip MCM 5 pcs

  

Mid-Century modern Reed & Barton "Denmark" pattern silver platted coffee & tea set designed by John Pripp in the late 50s. This set is in good vintage condition and it has signs of usage. It has standard wear and some scratches and small dents which are hard to see given the shine on the pieces. This also makes it difficult to get clear pictures! I did lightly clean the pieces to see the true condition of the pieces.

Some pieces have the original blue sticker stating silver plated. Coffee and tea pot are weighted so they are sturdy (and heavy). See the item description below for condition information on each piece. Marked: Reed & Barton Denmark. 1720 Coffee pot measures appx. 10" x 8" handle to spout. Strapping has general wear from use. Some light scratches throughout with one area with deeper scratches and on top lid.

Interior shows signs of use (I did not try to clean the inside). 9" x 7" handle to spout. Strapping appears to be worn yet the teapot does not look used. 1722 Covered sugar bowl measures appx 4 1/2" x 4". Light scratches throughout with one area that appears to a deeper scratch or repaired dent?

Also there is oxidation on interior due to use (assuming from sugar stored in the container). 1723 Creamer measures appx 41/2" x 4". A few (maybe two) deeper scratches yet interior is good condition with minimal oxidation. 1724 Finger / open bowl measuring appx. Two deeper scratches otherwise in good and what appears to unused condition. Items that are pre-owned will show normal signs of use/wear associated with the age of item. Cleaning may be required based on personal preferences. General condition will be documented in the listing as well as any notable flaws. As the items I sell are mostly pre-owned or vintage it is not possible to outline the background or provenance of an item. Similarly, it is not possible to conclude if the item has always been in a smoke or pet free environment or if any repairs such as replacement stones have been made. I generally do not repair items. If I do it is noted in the description.
