A fine example of an antique tea set consisting of a tea pot and sugar bowl. It is a stylish set with an elegant shape, ribbed detail to the base and ebonised handles on the teapot. Engraved on one side with the letter'A' and on the other side with the letter'W'. It is excellent quality with a combined weight of 621g with the handles.
It is fully hallmarked for Charles Horner, Birmingham, 1906. The outer hallmark on the teapot is slightly rubbed but it is very clear inside the lid and on the sugar bowl. The whole set is in very good condition. There are some faint surface marks and a few light scratches and some small dents and dinks - one particularly on the spout that I have photographed and a few around the edges but overall it displays very well. It has been gently cleaned and polished is ready for use.
Tea Pot Length : 11 1/2 (29cm). Sugar Height : 3 1/2 (9cm).
