MEXICAN STERLING TEA SET c1950 - JUVENTINO REYES - NO MONO. A fine mid-century Mexican sterling silver tea service, in the Art Moderne taste. Hand crafted in the shop of Juventino Lopez Reyes. A former master silversmith for Maciel, Reyes opened his own work shop in 1935.

Shortly thereafter his work was featured in Mexico's foremost shops. The Mexican sterling teapot in tapering pear shape. The design characteristics of the Art Moderne movement. Hinged cover retains the original tapering vine, rolled at end finial.

Sleek gently tapering spout and C scroll handle rolled at top. Both cream jug and sugar bowl covered, and with conforming tapering and rolled vine finials. Teapot interior clean as if never used. This mid century Mexican sterling teapot is 11 inches. And and the complete set is a bit over 61 standard ounces.
