Lobed 3 Piece Tea Set Gadroon Rims Elkington Silverplate 1897. Antique silver plated 3-piece tea set, including teapot, handled sugar bowl and creamer. All pieces have lobed repousse body and applied gadroon rim on the top. The teapot has hinged lid with a flower-shaped carved finial and figural wooden handle. Made by Elkington & Co.
This great set measures: - teapot is 6 1/2" long, 5" wide, 11" long from handle to spout and 5 1/2" tall (including finial); - sugar bowl is 5 1/4" long, 3 3/4" wide, 4" tall and 6 5/8" long from handle to handle; - creamer is 4" long, 3" wide, 3 1/4" tall and 5 1/2" long from spout to handle. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
