This is very fine Irish sterling silver lion and fox tea service. A re-creation of an 18th century form, see Waldron. From Weir & Sons Dublin 1904. Thomas Weir a jeweler open his shop in 1869. Later offered silver, watches and other fine decorative items. Crafted the world famous Aga Kahn horse trophy 1926. And received numerous diplomatic and royal commissions, Prince Rainier.

Cover with original swan finial. Cream jug formed as a sauce boat.

Atop shell frame lion mask twisted ankle paw feet. This 114 year old Irish sterling lion and fox. Teapot is 10 inches and set 30 1/2 standard ounces.
