A signed letter from the family included in the sale. A near identical Indian jug exhibited Indian and Colonial Exposition 1911, Calcutta and is illustrated page 36 Wilkinson's text. This U-Thant tray features brilliantly hand raised scenes of Indian daily life, sailing ships, pilgrims, animals and Hindu scenes.

Completely hand crafted and signed. It has never been monogrammed. This Indian sterling silver U-Thant family presentation tea tray is 18 1/2 inches. And weighs a bit under 61 standard ounces. Retains the original hand decorated detail.
