Silver soldered, mid-19th century 5-piece tea and coffee set in the Helmet Medallion pattern, consisting of. A coffee pot measuring 11 1/2 in height by 9'' by 6'. A teapot measuring 8 1/2'' in height by 10 1/2'' from handle to spout. Another teapot measuring 9'' in height by 10'' by 6'. A sugar bowl measuring 7 1/2'' in height by 8'' by 5 1/2'.

A waste bowl measuring 4'' in height by 5 1/2'' in diameter. Each piece bears hallmarks and a monogram as shown.

It attracted many wealthy clients - including Mary Todd Lincoln, who had new official White House china painted here. In 1857, a 79-foot-tall commercial loft building was built for the store. It was also the location of the world's first successful passenger elevator. The building still exists in SoHo, New York City.
