Gyllenberg Sterling Tea Set c1930 HAND WROUGHT
FRANS GYLLENBERG STERLING TEA SET c1930 MUSEUM FINE ARTS, BOSTON This is a very fine and rare c1930 Frans Gyllenberg and Alfred Swanson completely hand raised from sheet silver sterling tea service. Gyllenberg joined the Handicraft shop, outside Boston 1905. In 1926 partnership with Swanson. Gyllenberg was one of only seven silversmiths elected "Medalist Craftsman" by the elite Society of Arts & Crafts, Boston. Work in major museum collections Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Northwest Museum of Arts, Spokane, Yale Art Museum, Rhode Island School of Design Collection.
