Gorham Sterling Tea Set Kettle & Stand 1912 Hand Decorated
GORHAM STERLING TEA KETTLE & STAND 1912 - HAND DECORATED. A very fine 1912 date code Gorham sterling silver, hand decorated tea kettle on. Shaped wide lobe oval bottle form, with wide tapering neck. Hand decorated leaf and floral sprays with slender, sweeping. The raised flowers with hand chased satin surfaces. Cover retains the original lobed bud with vine panel finial.
Rolled vine crown overhead swing handle, rising from folded edge clover terminal. Matching, hallmarked stand with pierced feathered leaf crown inverted shell, double scroll. Atop shaped oval, flower engraved and chased, satin shell and vine scroll edge base.
Period engraved AEJ to one side. This 1911 Gorham sterling silver tea kettle on stand is 12 3/4 inches.
Tall weighs 48 1/2 standard ounces. Hallmarked as shown, covered sugar date code 1912. Interior clean as if little used.
