ENGLISH STERLING TEA SET 1953 CORONATION HALLMARK - DEMON SPOUT. A very unique mid century British sterling silver demon spout tea service. From the Sheffield firm of Poston Products listed from 1951 to 1978.

The set also bears the Queen's coronation hallmark for 1953. In classic raised slender pear shape with center vine and shell framed shields, never monogrammed. Framed by hand chased leaf and floral on partial satin. Cover retains the original nesting bird in oak and acorn finial. Boldly cast eagles head spout, feather wrapped tapering neck rising from demon mask, shell collar mount.

Inverted feathered leaf crown double scroll handle. Atop anthemion center scroll tip feet. This vintage British sterling demon mask & eagle head spout teapot is 10 1/2 inches.

And the complete set 65 standard ounces. Coffee pot interior clean, as if little or never used.
