Elegant 3 Pc Silver Plated Wm Rogers Tea Set On Tray C 1938
We are offering for your consideration a lovely 3 piece Rogers Brothers tea set on a tray. The firm was located out of Wallingford, Connecticut. The service measures the following. Hinged Teapot measures 10.25 inches high and 9.50 inches wide from handle to spout.
Covered Sugar Bowl measures 4.25 inches high and 6 inches wide between the two handles. Creamer measures 3 inches at the highest point on the handle and 5.25 inches wide between the handle and spout. Two Handled Butler's Tray measures 18.50 inches long between the handles. The pieces are simply but elegantly decorated.
Sweeping hsndles and spouts decorated with Acanthus leaves add a pleasing visual appeal to the set. Four scrolled feet and a high domed cover topped with a topiary style finial completes this stylish service.
The set is placed upon a round butler's tray. The tray has a lovely leaf and scroll work design around the outer rim that extends onto the two handles. Etched in the middle is an intricate design of flowers, leaves, scroll work and various designs.It rests upon four, open work scrolled feet. When the tray is not used with the tea set it can be used to serve drinks, appetizers, sandwiches, desserts, etc. The tea service is in. EXCELLENT READY TO USE ESTATE CONDITION. With no silver loss to note, dents, or repairs.
The tray has a polishing mark near the outer rim and several pinpoint spots of wear but nothing that would not be expected for its age. A lovely set that is ready for holiday festivities or those special dinners with family and friends. My hubby is a fastidious packer and we have never had an item broken in transit.
