Chase Art Deco Chrome Electric Tea Service Set
This Art Deco gleaming chrome tea service was designed by Walter Von Nessen for Chase Brass & Copper in 1933. It features spherical round shapes with incised ring decoration and off-white plastic handles and finials. It is complete with 1-1/2 quart electric tea kettle and original cloth cover cord, pedestal creamer and covered sugar, and 12 inch Ring serving tray with detachable handle. Also included is the original Chase Table Electrics photographic brochure which not only has instructions for the tea kettle, but also has pictures and complete descriptions of ten Art Deco Chase electric coffee, tea, buffet, and table serving items. The tea set is simply titled Tea Service in the brochure, but the tea set design is nearly identical to the Coronet and Comet coffee service sets and in fact uses the same creamer, sugar, and tray. Condition is excellent, obviously used very little. The tray has some shallow, light scratches from contact with the other items, and the tray handle has a few scuffs as well. There are no dents or dings, and no pits, corrosion, or tarnish to the other items. The mirror-bright chrome finish is spotlessly clean and shiny, though there are mild heat and water sediment marks inside the kettle. The cord and plug have no issues, and the kettle heats up fine. All chrome pieces are marked with the Chase centaur logo. Almost all my items are antique or vintage and come from a variety of sources. I cannot guarantee that any item is from a smoke-free or pet-free home. International customers are always welcome.
