Stone was born in England in 1847 where he trained. After coming to America, worked for Durgin and several other New England firms. Started his own shop in 1901, one of the most important proponent of the Arts & Crafts movement.
Each pieces bears an individual shop workers initial. Under each base period engraved presentation dated 1941. This c1940 Arthur Stone sterling hand wrought teapot is 9 1/2 inches and the. Complete set 44 standard ounces.Rich sterling patina, retains original detail. Handle secure, original heat stops.
