Beautiful Victorian ornate silver plated three-piece coffee / tea service, accompanied by a pair of sugar tongs. Oval fluted bodies are bright-cut and engraved with scrolling and floral Art Nouveau design.

The interiors of the sugar bowl and milk jug are gold-washed. The handles are decorated with a reeded design and have applied leaf accents where they attach to the bodies of the pieces. Very impressive and ornate set! Retailed by Pleasance & Harper, Bristol, c. Teapot / coffeepot - 14 cm tall, 27 cm spout to handle, 11 cm wide sugar bowl - 9.5 cm tall to rim, 22.5 cm handle to handle, 9.5 cm wide milk jug / creamer - 7 cm tall to rim, 14.5 cm spout to handle, 6.5 cm wide tongs / nips - 11 cm.

Wear to silvering and scuffing commensurate with age and use, mainly to spout and handles; dents to the underside of the teapot and sugar bowl bases (not visible, unless pieces turned over); small area of the sugar bowl where the design has some nicks on top.
