Fantastic 4-piece Victorian silver plated tea and coffee service. The coffee and tea pots have large figural finials to hinged lids, in the form of a flower.
All the pieces are of baluster, lobed melon forms and are richly embossed all over with flowers, leaves and scrolls; the bodies are decorated with floral repousse work, on to an applied scroll and shell base, the handles decorated with applied leaf forms. Each piece has a vacant cartouche, so this can be personalised as a present.
Absolutely fantastic set in great condition! Made by George Travis & Co, Sheffield, c.
