Antique Indian Solid Silver 3-Piece Partridge Bird Tea Set/Service. This solid silver Indian three-piece tea set is crafted in the form of three Black francolins (black partridge) standing on top of snakes. The set is features a high degree of craftsmanship with a very similar design to those of Oomersi Mawji - it may be possible that this set is an unsigned example from one of his workshops. The set consists of a teapot, sugar bowl and a creamer/milk pitcher. The main teapot partridge features an intricate engraved snake handle that extends from below and a hinged head.

The sugar bowl can be accessed by removing the bird's feather section as photographed. The milk pitcher (smallest) also features a hinged head allowing for the milk to be poured. Overall, the set is a delightful example of fine Indian silver with intricate engravings and detailing on the feathers, feet and snakes.
