Antique HARTFORD 6pc TEA SET + TAUNTON Tray Victorian Silverplate c. 1880's

  

This is a beautiful Victorian era 6 piece TEA SET decorated in the Aesthetic Period style with lots of natural elements - embossed Birds, Flowers, Insects, Fans and geometric shapes and designs - featuring an artist's palette decorated with Birds. The Quadruple Silverplated Set includes 3 Graduated footed pots for Coffee, Tea and Hot Water - 12.75", 12", & 11.5 tall - and matching covered Sugar Bowl, Creamer and Waste Bowl. Each piece is marked (very hard to read most marks): HARTFORD SILVERPLATE CO.

The tray is a lovely companion piece with a similar design. Marked: 24 - TAUNTON SILVERPLATE Co.

It is a rectangular shape with handles on both ends, supported on 4 openwork feet. Measurements: 27" handle to handle, 24"x18" outer edge, surface is about 20"x14.
