Antique French Sterling Silver Gold Vermeil Tea Service, Spoons Set, Sugar Tongs
Antique 19th century French sterling silver & gilt vermeil 14-piece tea service set. The set comprises of 12 teaspoons, pair of sugar tongs and a tea strainer.
Beautifully patterned handles features trailing leaves on the vine with clusters of berries. Monogrammed with interlaced initials JB. Stylized lion paws adorn the tongs. The tea strainer having a finely pierced and gilded bowl surrounded by scrollwork and rocailles. Housed within the original presentation box with lever clasp, opening to a cream satin and red velvet lined fitted interior retailed for Robert-Roche in Nimes.
