Antique Edwardian Silver Plated 3 Piece Tea Set (James Dixon & Sons, c1905). Antique English Edwardian silver plated three piece tea set. The set consists of a tea pot, a cream jug & a sugar bowl. Each piece is of plain oval form raised on pedestal base nicely decorated with a gadrooned rim.

The sugar bowl has a harp shaped lifting handle on each side & the cream jug has a matching handle & pouring spout. The teapot has a brown Bakelite handle, a swan neck pouring spout & a rectangular finial on oval oval hinged lid.

Each piece marked on the underside with the makers mark. Lovely fully usable collectors item. Business established in 1806 in Silver Street, Sheffield by James Dixon in partnership with a Mr. The firm became James Dixon & Son (1823), James Dixon & Sons 1835c. And James Dixon & Sons Ltd in 1920.

London showrooms were opened in London (1873), Sydney and Melbourne (1912). The figural trade mark'trumpet and banner' (bugle) was registered in 1881. Teapot: - 270 mm x 115mm x 142mm.

Excellent condition with light surface marks that are consistent with genuine age, use & polishing. There are no dings or dents & no loss of silver plate.
