Antique Christofle Gallia Art Nouveau 4 piece Tea & Coffee Set, 1890s

  
For sale, an extremely rare Christofle Gallia patttern Art Nouveau silver-plated 4 piece tea and coffee set, dating from the 1890s. The set features the Gallia pattern and has embossed leaf and dragonfly patterning, typical features of Art Nouveau design. All pieces display the Christofle stamp with issue number 4643. The set is in excellent condition especially considering that the pieces are nearly 130 years old, There is some wear to some of the pieces, commensurate with their age, as detailed in the photos.

A single-handled coffee pot with a hinged lid, 22cm tall, 18cm from handle to spout, 7cm diameter at base. A single handled teapot with a hinged lid, 14cm tall, 20cm from handle to spout, 10cm diameter at base. A two-handled sugar bowl with a removable lid: 11cm tall, 16cm from handle to handle, 9.

A single-handled milk jug, 10cm tall, 10cm from handle to lip, 5cm diameter at base. There is a matching handled silver plated tray, which is advertised for sale separately - see my other listings.
