Antique Bachelors Art Deco 3 Piece Solid Silver Tea Set (Henry Stratford, 1931). Antique Bachelors English solid sterling silver three piece tea set. Small sized tea set made just for one person. The set consists of a teapot, a cream jug & a sugar bowl. Each piece is of rectangular form with chamfered corners & fluted decoration around the bottom half of the outside.

Each piece is raised on four bun feet on each corner. T he teapot has a wooden harp shaped handle on one side & a swan neck pouring spout on the other side. Finished on the top with a wooden finial on a domed hinged lid with matching fluting decoration. The sugar bowl has a harp shaped lifting handle on either side & the cream jug has a matching handle & pouring spout. Each piece marked on the underside with the makers mark.

A very stylish lovely fully usable collectors item. New Church Street, Sheffield; subsequently Harwood Street, Sheffield. L x W x H.

Teapot: - 175 mm x 70mm x 110mm. Overall in excellent condition with light surface marks that are consistent with genuine age, use & polishing. There are few very minor dings & dents on several of the bun feet but you have to look very closely to see them.
