For your consideration we offer a desirable Art Deco era silver plated tea set by Gorham in their Plymouth pattern. First introduced by Gorham in 1911, the Plymouth collection was created of the highest quality and exacting standards; the sleek and angular styling of each piece speaks of the understated elegance that became a hallmark of sound design and craftsmanship. Typically found in sterling silver, this example is silver plated which was also offered in limited production numbers and has become comparatively scarce today. The set consists of a 10" coffee pot, 7" tea pot, 6.5" cream pitcher, and 5.5" covered sugar bowl. Expected light surface and a couple of small, barely visible, and very minor dings can be found on each piece, however, none of these imperfections are immediately noticeable or distracting unless intentionally seeking them out.
Otherwise the set is in beautiful condition, presents itself exceptionally well with the silver polishing brightly to a clear and brilliant luster. The set is free of monograms or other engraving with the exception of the Gorham hallmark which can be found on the base of each piece.
Wear is commensurate for age and history of occasional and infrequent use so please regard all of the photos as they form a descriptive part of the listing.
