We are listing this estate fresh four piece American coin silver tea service marked by Platt and Brother of NYC with a. This set is hand chased with scrolling grape vines, leaves and grapes. We dont know if this set was actually manufactured by Platt & Bro. Or if they were instead the retailer. The other very similar set has a typical monogram and weighs only about ½ of a troy ounce more than our set. Only two pieces are marked. The underside of both the tea pot and the sugar bowl are marked. None of the pieces are marked with either the word coin or sterling. In overall very good to excellent original antique preowned condition free from damages, dents, deep scratches, alterations and repairs. This set has never ever been monogrammed or inscribed, and there have never been any monogram removals. There are some typical scattered faint shallow surface scratches, most noticeable to the waste bowl, that could be professionally eliminated if desired.

This set is in estate found unpolished condition. The new owner may want to carefully hand polish this set so that it will look its best.

The total combined weight of all four pieces is approximately 81.34 troy ounces. This set is made of heavy gage silver and all pieces are very tall. The maximum height of the pot is approximately 12 inches.
