Whiting Sterling Tea Set c1890 CHRYSANTHEMUM
WHITING STERLING TEA KETTLE & STAND c1890 CHRYSANTHEMUM - 72 OUNCES We are pleased to offer this late 19th century hand decorated Whiting Co. Sterling silver tea kettle and stand, with the original burner.
The Art Nouveau style appears to be much like Tiffany's Chrysanthemum pattern of the same period. The additional Gothic letter stamped under the usual Whiting hallmarks, may be for the designer. This c1890 Whiting hand decorated sterling Chrysanthemum tea.
Kettle on stands 12 1/2 inches tall and the. Complete set weighs 72 standard ounces. Also bears a stamped Gothic "O". Possibly for the famed Tiffany & Whiting designer Charles Osborne.
