This tea set has always been together as the order number and style number match. We can date this set to 1865 by the pattern and order numbers.
The hallmarks show that this set was made by J. Moore and son Edward C. Moore before the Moore company was bought by Tiffany in 1868. All pieces carry the Dighton family crest of a lions gamb holding a cross (reference picture provided). The set is in the Classical Greek Revival style common in early Tiffany hollow ware pieces.
For example, this set features the Greek key decoration around the circumference of all five pieces. This set has been recently hand polished and has its original surface and bone insulators present. It is in fine antique condition.Has some minor dents and ding commensurate with its age. The coffee pot has a loose jointed handle allowing it to move a bit when holding the pot, but could be repaired. See photos for more description of condition and feel free to ask any questions.
