The coffee and tea set is a collaborative designed set by noted modernists Gio Ponti and John Axel Prip for Reed & Barton in 1958. And is a fabulous example of Mid-Century Modern design and construction. 1 - Coffee Pot: Black wrapped handle, 11 3/4 tall. 1 - Teapot: Black wrapped handle, 8 3/8 tall.

1 - Creamer: 4 3/8 tall. 1 - Sugar with Cover: 4 1/4 tall. 1 - Waste Bowl, 2 1/8 tall.

The tea and coffee service set weighs approx. ++The Sterling silver tray pictured IS NOT included in this listing++. The tea and coffee pot handles are wrapped in a black plastic weave.

The set shows normal wear from use and age. Coffee pot favors one side of the rim and closes fully and firmly. The same pot has an ever so slight depression near. The bottom right side of the handle.

All 5 pieces monogrammed'B'. Imilar set is Illustrated in'Modernism in American silver. 20th century Design, Jewel Stern. Notwithstanding having undergone a good home cleaning, the set could be further enhanced by a more thorough cleaning.
