Outstanding Ten -piece Antique silver on copper tea set
Description Outstanding Ten -piece Antique silver on copper tea set set. This is an incredibly high quality set, substantial because the plating is over solid and much heavier copper, not the inferior cheaper white metals usually used under the plating on silver plate sets.
Beautifully designed full-sized set includes the original matching 2-handled tray and features the tilting hot water kettle on stand with burner. Notice the fine scrolling and chased decoration, well-proportioned feet and finials, wonderful right down to the smallest detail.
Pieces aren't monogrammed but the samovar does have a family crest, as shown on the picture. The set is decorated all over with fancy repousse grape and leaf theme. Lids are decorated with leaf and flowers or grape. Each piece is piece of art.
The Butler's tray is ornate and elegant. The samovar has it own stand , which could be use as in different ways. No dents, and as far as wear/scratching...
The plating is superior, Pieces and their measurements (approximate) are as follows: tray 30 x20 coffeepot. High, covered sugar bowl 7 x 10 high, cream pitcher.
