MARSHALL FIELDS STERLING TEA SET c1915 - COLONIAL - HAND WROUGHT A very fine and rare turn of the century hand wrought Marshall Fields Art Deco style coffee set. The Chicago Department store founded in 1864 by several men. By 1881 Marshall Field assumed sole ownership.Around the turn of the century opened their own silver work shop, crafting hand wrought sterling and other metal wares. This Colonial pattern was introduced in 1904. Slender bottle form in-curved at mid-section. Hand carved leafy vine decoration atop all over hand hammered surfaces. Cover retains the original globe finial secured by the original fastener. Handle also with original stops. Engraved ESC for the original owner.
