Kirk Sterling Tea Set c1930 HAND DECORATED NO MONO
KIRK STERLING TEA SET c1930 COMPLETELY HAND CHASED - 51 OUNCES. A very fine early century S. Kirk sterling silver tea service. Completely hand decorated at the factory.
A perfect example of the firm's early 20th century workmanship. Especially the finish chasing which, during this period, was the finest to have ever come from the firm. Tapering compressed form with steeped rim and base.
All over hand carved swirling leaf and floral on soft textured, satin background. Cover with the original raised flower finial and original fastener below. Shell cap feathered leaf and flower spout.
Rolled vine crown tapering S handle with cascading floral stream, original heat stops. Kirk & Son, and Hand Decorated. This Kirk sterling hand chased teapot is 10 1/2 inches and.
The set weighs 51 1/2 standard ounces. In very, very fine condition. Unusually rich sterling patina, almost a satin surface.
