JAPANESE STERLING IRIS TEA SERVICE c1920 K. UYEDA - HAND CRAFTED This is a beautifully hand crafted Japanese silver iris along gentle stream (partial) tea service. From the renowned Tokyo work shop of K. The longest active group of silversmiths remaining in business to this day. Founded in 1884 by Kichigoro Uyeda as an art gallery for foreign businessmen, dignitaries and wealthy tourists.

Second generation Uyeda opened a shop in the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. This late Meiji Japanese hand crafted iris teapot is 7 3/4 inches handle to spout. And together set weighs 28 1/2 standard ounces.

In very, very fine condition. Teapot interior perfectly clean as if never used. Covers fit perfectly to base.
