Gorham Sterling Tea Set Tray 1907 Hand Decorated
GORHAM STERLING SILVER TEA SET TRAY 1907 - 121 OUNCES. A very, very fine 1907 Gorham sterling silver tray for serving afternoon tea. In the Art Nouveau manner.
The tray is completely hand decorated. In classic shaped oval form, with gently scalloped streaming vine rim. The wide border with hand carved inverted shell, leaf and floral framed oval shields. Framed within suspended leaf and twin vine and flower heads. Beautifully cast and hand chased shell crown, rolled vine with.
Script monogram to the center, possibly "LMS" for. The original owner, but impossible to be sure.This large 1907 hand decorated Gorham sterling silver tray for serving afternoon. Tea is 29 1/2 inches across the handles and 17 inches wide. And it weighs a touch over 121 standard ounces.
