GERMAN SILVER TEA SET c1890 " BACCHANALIAN SCENES " 58 OZ. A c1895 German silver Bacchus scene decorated tea service. Signed with post 1886 German silver Guarantee hallmarks. Raised rectangular with canted corners. Richly detailed scene of Bacchus the god of wine and merriment.
With assorted cherub, having a grape and wine day, set in leaf and flower frame. Corners with cascading floral streams. Cover retain the original turned shell and flower finials. Medallion center spout rising from ruffled end shell. Leaf and vine panel handles.
Atop oval medallion center flower crown scroll feet. This late 19th century German silver Bacchus teapot.Is 10 1/2 inches and the set 58 standard ounces. Handle secure retains original heat stops.
