ENGLISH STERLING TEA KETTLE & STAND 1920 CUSTOM ORDER - JAMES ROBINSON, NYC A rare, custom ordered British sterling silver tea kettle & matching stand, George II manner. From the London workshop of the Adie Brothers in 1920. This set was a custom order for a valued client of James Robinson Antiques, 402 Madison Ave New York City. Robinson opened his shop in 1912, specializing in antique silver and porcelains. Over time, Robinson offered hand crafted re-creations of antique silver forms, such as this Georgian inspired kettle and stand.
Buyers keep in mind that the images do not do justice, to the hand engraved raised shell and diamond pattern panel work. It is far more visually appealing in hand. This British sterling custom order Georgian kettle and stand. Is just under 12 inches tall.
And weighs 54 standard ounces. Hallmarked as shown, including the maker's marks. And Made in England for James Robinson. Appears little, if ever used. Cover closes perfectly flush, original handle secure.
