English Sterling Tea Set 1909 CF Hancock Royal Silversmiths
ENGLISH STERLING TEA SET KETTLE & STAND 1909 ROYAL SILVERSMITHS. An elegant 1909 British sterling silver Queen Anne style tea kettle on matching stand, with the original burner. From the renowned London firm of Charles Frederick Hancock, first listed in 1849. The firm was appointed Royal Gold & Silversmiths to Queen Victoria.
Counted most of the royal houses of Europe as its patrons. Classic octagonal fluted pear shape with stepped rim. Matching fluted cover retains the original fluted bud finial.
Rolled vine crown paneled spout. Fixed double scroll handle retains the original wood insert. Matching stand retains both of the original, hallmarked chained securing pins. Stand atop rolling vine legs with fluted bun feet. This 110 year old British sterling Queen Anne tea kettle on stand is 14 1/2 inches.And the complete set 60 standard ounces.
