A monumental 1750 British sterling tea kettle on matching stand. Crafted by Benjamin Gignac in 1750, first listed 1741.
His mark is not often observed. Inverted pear with center shield and partial shell, flower and wavy leaf. Cover with satin surface pomegranate above conforming floral. Over head swing handle with center leather cover foir heat dissipation.
Atop matching stand with center attached hallmarked burner and cover. Pierced shell and floral panel.
Atop rolled leaf cap flower and shell tip feet. This 1750 British sterling William Fitz-Herbert kettle on stand. Is 13 1/2 inches and weighs 73 (standard) ounces.
Hallmarked as shown both kettle and stand. Original leather cover to handle center.
