GERMAN SILVER KETTLE & STAND c1890 ROYAL SILVERSMITH - 56 OUNCES An important late 19th century German silver tea kettle on stand, retaining the original burner. Listed in Frankfurt from 1881.

This rare Schumman tea kettle is bell shape with hand engraved Art Nouveau inspired leaf and floral and diamond medallion. Bell dome cover retains the original beaded edge bell and globe finial. Leaf wrapped swing handle and beaded trim spout.

Atop matching stand which retains both chained securing pins and burner. Stand atop three leaf crown beaded center cleft hoof feet.

Schummer kettle & stand 17 inches tall. And set weighs 56 standard ounces. Rich silver patina, retains original detail. Original burner, small dents lower body and loss to handle.
