Durgin Sterling Tea & Coffee Set c1920 Hand Decorated
DURGIN STERLING TEA & COFFEE SET (6) c1920 HAND DECORATED We are pleased to offer this six piece c1920 Durgin - Gorham Company sterling silver tea and coffee service. The gently tapering octagonal form is highly desired.
Given the extensive bending and folding of the silver to form the eight sided shape, this form is the most desired by collectors. Bright cut engraved suspended acanthus and streaming leafy vine.
The set retains the original, conforming tapering urn and globe crown finials. The sugar tongs are associated. This turn of the century Durgin sterling hand decorated coffee pot is 10 1/2 inches.
Handle to spout and 7 inches tall and the complete set a touch over 60 standard ounces. Handles secure, retains original heat stops.
