BAILEY, BANKS & BIDDLE STERLING TEAPOT & STAND WEIGHS 78 OUNCES. A monumental late 19th century Bailey Banks & Biddle Co. Tea kettle on stand, with burner. The Philadelphia firm founded in 1832. Softly compressed circular wide fluted shape, hand decorated.
Shell leaf and floral shields. Cover with original raised floral. Shield cap feathered leaf and vine overhead swing handle.Shell crown spout with streaming flower panel. Rolling leaf and vine flower head highlighted supports.
Original burner with natural substance finial and handle working butterfly. Doors, original screen, fits to stand with notch and sleeve. Stand with stepped scallop edge circular base with winged leaf. This monumental late 19th century Bailey Banks & Biddle sterling silver. Tea kettle on stand is 13 1/2 inches and 78 1/2 (standard) ounces.
