Art Deco 6 Piece Gorham Sterling Silver Tea Service Set Fairfax

ART DECO 6 PIECE GORHAM STERLING SILVER TEA SERVICE SET FAIRFAX. Offered here is this elegant, Antique Art Deco Sterling Silver Tea Service Set made by Gorham circa 1920's. Each piece of the set has a monogram that reads "JBH" with the letter "B" being the largest letter (see pictures). The pattern is the popular "Fairfax" pattern first introduced by Gorham in 1910.

A highly sought after set with the hard to find tilting tea kettle and serving tray included. This 6 piece tea service is all sterling silver and includes the following pieces; Tilting Tea Kettle on Stand w/burner & hinged lid Stout Teapot w/ hinged lid Double Handle Sugar Bowl w/ removable lid Creamer w/ Goldwashed Interior Wastebowl w/ Goldwashed Interior Large Double Handle Serving Tray CONDITION; The set is in overall very good condition with only a tiny ding (dimple) to the side of the waste bowl. The large serving tray has noticeable scratches from usage but no deep gauges.

The heat separators on the tea kettle and teapot are intact but the heat separator on the tea kettle has darkened to a butterscotch color while the teapot separators are still white in color. MARKINGS; Each piece is marked "Gorham" with the lion, G, anchor hallmark along with "Sterling 04 Fairfax". The tea kettle is marked "2 pint". The stout teapot is marked "1 3/4 pint".

The creamer is marked "3/4 pint" and the serving tray is marked 25 3/4 in. MEASUREMENTS; The tea kettle measures 10 1/2 tall when attached to its stand. The stout teapot measures in at 4 3/4 tall to the top of its finial. The sugar bowl measures 4 tall to the top of its finial as well. The wastebowl measures 3" tall and the double handled serving tray measures 25 3/4" wide and 16 7/8 long.
