By celebrated Parisian silversmith and jeweller Adolphe Boulenger. This exceptional quality and complete service comprises: coffee or hot water pot, teapot, covered sugar bowl, and milk jug. The panelled bodies, lids, and spouts are finely decorated, hand engraved. With with borders of meticulously detailed hand chased à la Bérain inspired scroll, shell, trellis and foliate motifs on a textured ground, and delightful chased floral sprays.Spouts and sugar bowl's scroll handles are accented with a shell motif, carved bovine bone handles set in decorative vermeil ferrules, and the stepped pedestal bases follow the elegant contours of the bodies. Very finely crafted from the highest quality silver, the set weighs an impressive 2832 grams. Each piece is appropriately stamped with the French Minerve 1st standard silver mark. Condition is excellent with only the lightest signs of use to note, and the rich vermeil (18k gold on silver) is remarkably well preserved (both inside and out). A very rare, masterly crafted, antique French vermeil sterling silver tea & coffee set, designed to grace the finest of tables. Please refer to listing images for measurements and weights.
