AG Schultz Sterling Silver Tea Set c1905 Hand Decorated
SCHULTZ STERLING TEA SET c1905 HAND DECORATED. We are very pleased to offer this completely hand decorated. Turn of the century, A. Schultz sterling silver three piece tea service.
The rarely seen Baltimore firm first listed in 1899. The work shop only crafted sterling silver items. In classic tapering pear shape, with up-swept vine scroll and flower rim. All over hand raised leaf and floral sprays, and wispy fern. Carved in exceptionally high relief from the satin background.The conforming floral on satin decorated cover retains the original. Smooth surface "Hershey kiss" finial. Leaf and flower chased tapering S scroll handles. Atop vine framed anthemion on satin surface rolled tip feet.
Schultz hand made sterling silver teapot is 10 inches handle to spout. And the complete set weighs 51 standard ounces. Interior clean as if little used.
It retains the original detail. Cover closes flush, a bit tight, and set stands firm on table.
